DESCRIPTION
DAY 1: CUSCO – AGUAS CALIENTES.
The tour will start from your hotel at 05.30 a.m. with the transfer to the train station. This train will take us to Aguas Calientes, where we will arrive at around 10:15 a.m. In Aguas Calientes we will be drinking first a coffee and eating something before we start to climb the Putukusi Mountain. This Mountain is one of the most beautiful mountains of the Sanctuary, from its summit it is possible to enjoy a magnificent side view of the Inka Citadel. It is a total new way to see Machu Picchu!!!.
Attractions: Climb up wooden stairs encrusted in the rock; view of the Vilcanota river (Urubamba River); Machu Picchu Village (Aguas Calientes); Mandor Valley; an unusual view of the Machu Picchu citadel and Wayna Picchu Mountain. The activity level is high. Equipment to take with is binoculars and a rain poncho. When it is raining it is to dangerous to climb the Putukusi Mountain.
Around four o’clock, we will be back and we will need time to recover with a drink and snack to refill our energy level. To recover the muscles of the body it’s excellent to take a hot bath in the termal baths of Aguas Calientes.
Day 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco
We will be going with the bus at 06.00 a.m. up to the Citadel of Machu Picchu. It is recommended to arrive early in the morning were there are not so much tourist in Machu Picchu, to have the change to enjoy the space, the view, and to feel the energy of Machu Picchu. After arriving we will start with the complete guided tour of the Inca citadel that will take approximately two and a half hours. Then you can have free time to walk around, climb the Huaynapicchu Mountain, where you can have the experience of a different spectacular view of all Machupicchu, the valleys and mountains that surround it.
At 3.00 p.m. we will take the bus for going down and immediately we will take the train back to Cusco One hour before the train arrives in Cusco we will pick you up in Poroy to save you from a boring hour trip to the train station, instead we will need only 15 minutes for arriving in your hotel.

- Rain jacket or poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco)
- Strong footwear, ideally trekking or sport shoes
- Camera, films and batteries (batteries consume more quickly under cold conditions
- Hat or cap to protect you from the sun, rain or cold
- Sun block
- Insect repellent
- Toilet paper
- Snacks: biscuits, energy bars, chocolate, etc.
- Swimsuit (if you intend to go to the hot springs)
- Cash in soles and/or US$ (no ATM machines in Aguas Calientes)
- Original passport
