SALKANTAY

The Salkantay Mountain  with an altitude of 4,600 mts is a beautiful and solitary area to visit. Dominated by the Apu Salkantay it is sorrounded by numerous snow peaks of great elevation, as the Tucarhuay (5,910 m.s.n.m.), the Verónica (5,682 m.s.n.m.) and the Huacayhuilca (5,361 m.s.n.m.), among others. The Salkantay is surrounded with deep valleys (gulches), and offers every  day  a different kind of weather and temperature according to the altitude and ubication. It's very interresting for the constant changes,  contrasts and views.and a huge variety of flora and  fauna.
